Table d'Hôtes / Dinner
Coming back from a day of sightseeing and discoveries, there is nothing better than to leave your car and join us and the other guests at the ready laid table for a delicious regional and seasonal four course dinner. No need to drive anywhere, just relax, chat, taste and enjoy. This is what the French table d’hôtes is all about.
Our meals are all home cooked from scratch using fresh local ingredients and are accompanied by wine from a winemaker from our village. Everyone (including your hosts) shares the same table, either outside on the patio or in our cosy candlelit dining room, where a log fire is burning in the stove during the colder season.
Dinner starts in our vaulted wine cellar with a glass of sparkling wine. Typical starters might be stuffed mushrooms on crunchy salad leaves, beetroot-orange-soup with goat’s cheese toasts or a homemade asparagus quiche.
Signature main courses include guinea fowl on lentils, veal stew like granny used to make or cod and smoked salmon rolls in a delicious saffron sauce. We let ourselves be inspired by markets and the seasons to surprise you with our creations.
Next on the table is a cheese platter with a selection of French cheeses, always present is a local chèvre goat’s cheese. To round off your meal indulge in a dessert such as white chocolate mousse with basil, lemon crème brûlée mit berries or a fruity version of Tiramisu.
Local Chinon wine plus tea or coffee are all included in the price. Choose between our "all included" formula at 30 Euros p.p. where all drinks are included or the "Vin de la Cave" formula at 25 Euros where you can choose the wine to accompany your meal yourself from a choice in our cellar.
The table d’hôtes is available on most days by prior reservation, with the exception of Thursday evening. If forewarned we can cater for vegetarians and can adapt our meals to certain allergies or intolerances.
